My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Celeste, an approximately 2-year-old cat who is bright and beautiful with a little spice mixed in. Celeste arrived at our shelter with her two babies, Curry and Pinto Bean (also up for adoption). She was quite wary when she met us. You really can’t blame Celeste as she and her kittens were surrendered due to their former family having more animals than they could care for. A sudden change in surroundings can be difficult for some of our feline friends. Happily, she seems to be getting more comfortable each day.

Celeste is an independent cat who likes attention on her own terms. Short petting sessions are her preference. She is not aggressive, just choosy. It’s quite possible that once she feels safe and trusting of others this might change. Celeste is residing in one of our cat rooms with a roommate. She seems very indifferent towards her bunkie. We’ll be testing her with other cats in the future.

With a little time and gentle care, we think Celeste will make a great companion. Due to her low tolerance for long cuddles, she might do best in a home without small children. Contact us today to meet this pretty girl!
