Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Willow (white/black/brown) and Sage (white/brown), a bonded pair of delightful piggies!
Willow has had a rough start to her life, with a severe ear infection that lead to nerve damage on one
side of her face. Because of this, she now lives with a head tilted to the left and a diminished ability to
blink her left eye. Her eye condition does require an eye lubricant twice daily but it doesn't seem to bother her at all! Despite her past health battles, she is now a healthy and happy girl with a big personality!
Sage is a bit more reserved than Willow, but has been showing her thoughtful side. She picks up on
tricks pretty quickly (she navigates ramps like a pro), and loves to show off what she’s learned!
Both girls were very timid when they first arrived at their foster home, but have been getting braver by
the day, and their personalities have been blooming! They love playtime out of their cage when they can
run and go through obstacle courses, chatting the whole time. After they have tired themselves out they like to nap just as hard as they play.
Veggies are life to them – there are no greater motivators than a good carrot or bell pepper slice. They will need a forever home that is willing to go slow while they continue to gain confidence and build trust in humans.
RCHS guinea pigs live in loving foster homes where they are socialized, given sufficient exercise, and fed a diet of grass hay, Timothy pellets, and fresh vegetables daily to maintain a healthy weight. Guinea pigs require a vet trained in exotic animal medicine and have special housing and dietary needs. Please research guinea pigs thoroughly before adopting.
