My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/4/10
This is Maddie. She is a small purebred miniature doxie who is in need of a forever home without small children. She is great around babies but will NOT tolerate her tail being pulled or ears yanked on. She loves to go for walks and car rides and sleep in your bed under the blankets. She loves cats and gets along with most dogs.

Maddie eats Innova reduced fat as she is a little on the heavy side and its not good for her back.

Maddie was crated while her family was at work. You can say "Maddie Kennel" or "Kennel up" and she will go in most of the time. As you may notice in the pics Maddie has a bald spot on her right shoulder. As a puppy the hair in this spot was a different color. After a year or two the hair fell out and the spot has been the same size for the past 4 years. Her owners asked the vet about this and have no idea what may have caused it. the vet thought maybe a reaction to a vaccine, but was unsure. She really likes the "Dingo" rawhide bones from wal-mart. She knows the work Dingo and gets excited when she hears us say it. Maddie is potty trained but doesn't wait long when she needs to go out. She goes to the door and grumbles but doesn't always bark. She really doesn't like spending time outside when it's cold. Sometimes she goes out for a minute then wants back out again shortly. In the summer time she enjoys going out and laying in the sun for a while. She will potty on the deck rather than go down the stairs to the yard. She knows how to rollover and speak but if you say one she usually does both. Maddie will bark when someone is at the door.

Please have experience with this breed and a fenced in yard....NO SMALL CHILDREN under the age of 10. Email Paws with any questions or for an application

Thanks
