My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Judy is a scruffy little girl - she is about 2 years old and 15 pounds.  She is Joplin's mom we are told!  She has a soft coat, more like a shih tzu than a terrier.  Judy tested positive for heartworm but has been successfully treated.  She will need to remain on heartworm preventative year-round for the rest of her life.

Judy is a happy dog!  She is a smart girl who has quickly learned her foster home's routine.  S  Judy is playful with other dogs but she can be bossy and tells them she is in charge. She is super playful with Joplin, they have always been together.  She loves to be outside, whether it is running around or sunning herself.  Toys are a must in her new home!  She is content to sleep wherever there is an empty bed and she will often cuddle with her pals. Another dog in the home would be nice for her but not required if her family can give her lots of playtime and love!    She has been around kids 12+ and did fine.  Judy is curious about cats but we think she can adjust if given time.   Judy is doing great with her housetraining with very few accidents in her foster home.  She will need some time to adjust to her new home though.  She is crate trained also.  Judy would love a fully fenced yard in her new home as she is so happy to be outside. (no invisible fences though). She does walk on a leash and enjoys going for walks! We would consider her a flight risk if off leash or out of her fenced yard.  She has a lot of interest in the world beyond the gate.  Judy will require grooming throughout her life as her coat can get on the long side.

Judy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated.  Her adoption fee is $450.   We will reduce her adoption fee to $400 if she is adopted with Joplin.
