Hey everyone see that sweet pea up there, that's me Emma. I was just brought to rescue a few days ago(2/18) due to my family loosing their home and having to move where they couldn't keep me. It was hard to say goodbye but I look at it as a new chapter in my life and I can't complain because I was brought here where they have all these wonderful hounds just like me to play with. And boy oh boy do I LOVE to play. I am only around a year old after all and still have an abundance of energy & love to offer any forever home. I absolutely adore the kids of the home and would love to go to a home with little ones and other dogs to play with. I am working really hard on my house training and haven't had any accidents in my current temporary home, but Mom says I have to tell people they will need to be very diligent on my schedule and offer patience and love while I get to know your schedule. But I am one smart cookie and know I can learn anything very quickly. I am also working on crate training, I don't really like to go into the crate and can raise quite the ruckus for the first couple of minutes but after that I settle right down with a good chewie and toy. Mom reccomends I continue crate training in any forever home I go to as well, only because I am a hound and a toddler all in one and when left to my own accord I would get into just about anything, but can you blame me all these glorious smells :0) Mom says I also need to tell people I am a typical low riding Basset girl, and will most likely never get over 40-45 lbs....a perfect sized lap hound if you ask me! I am Up to date on all vaccinations, Heart Worm tested negative and on preventative, de-wormed, and altered. For more information on me please contact Jess'e & she will put you in touch with mom.

Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
