This sweet gal is Darla!
Darla was found in the streets, like so many others. But, her beginning of life doesn’t define her! When she first arrived at her foster home, she didn’t know how to walk on a leash, was a bit frightened, didn’t know how to play with toys, and was just very unsure of herself.
My how things have turned! Darla has blossomed into the sweetest little character! She has a special sleeping blanket she uses when she is ready for bed (we are melting!) she’s learned that toys are awesome, lazy days in the back yard laying in the sun is the best, and the zoomies are SUPER fun!
Darla is a bit shy at first, but warms quickly. She loves her humans, and other dogs in the home are preferred, as her dog companions give her confidence and help to teach her. She is crate trained, knows basic commands, and is just an all around sweet little lady.
Darla is currently being fostered in Madison, Wi.
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above.
Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense.
