My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barnaby here, in search of a new human and home since, sadly, my owner for my 9 years of life passed away. She fed me well so I’m a pretty good-sized guy with a beautiful cream and white tabby medium hair coat. Fortunately, I don’t mind some brushing. But I really love petting!

You will find I am affectionate, outgoing and enjoy meeting your guests, even well-behaved kids. I’ll play a little with toys but mostly I just want to be where you are and keep you company – even if I’m napping while I’m there. You will receive lots of leg rubs and head butts from me. I’m a quiet alarm clock in the mornings when I climb into bed and purr loudly as I snuggle up with you. I like when you pet me but don’t spend too long on my belly. Better to stick to head scritches since you can’t ever get too many of those!

Some important facts to know about me are that you don’t have to buy me any fluffy beds – I prefer hard cool surfaces like the floor, the coffee table, or your desk! And this quirk is not negotiable – I like to drink water from sinks! I will race you to the bathroom and leap into the sink to make sure you turn the water on for me. My other quirk, that's not so much fun, is my interest in chewing on plastic bags and wrappers, so you’ll have to keep them out of my reach. Please come meet me – I’m eager to get settled in my new home and it just might be yours!
