Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Agnes was a little hot mess a few months ago! She was picked up as a stray in pretty sad shape, so when no owners came forward, we weren’t terribly disappointed this time because this most-perfect little gal deserves a most-perfect home -- and we’re going to find it for her! ❤
Agnes is 9-10 years old. She is Miss Congeniality and gets along with pretty much anyone, but prefers no small children in the home as sometimes they just don’t know how to be nice to her. She was placed in a foster home with three other dogs ranging from rowdy to senior, and small to big. She is happy with all of them, but is also a little independent and does her own thing. Maybe she’s a leader and not a follower. She LOVES being spoiled by her people, getting belly rubs and snuggles, and she also enjoys toys. She’s pretty proud of herself when she snatches a toy and prances around with it.
With some initial vetting and bloodwork, it was discovered that Agnes was anemic. With the help of our supporters, Agnes was supplied with special food and supplements to help with her red cell count. With a number of weeks in between, we had more bloodwork done at intervals, and each time, Agnes’ levels were improving. They weren’t perfect, but all her values were moving in the right direct – enough that we could get her dental done. Last week, Agnes lost her bad breath and 11 teeth! She’s recovered nicely and is her happy self again, and now ready to find her forever family. In about 2-3 weeks, we are going to do one more blood test to confirm Agnes’ values are still improving (we anticipate even more improvement now as her anemia was likely stemming from her severe dental disease which is now history).
Anges is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and of course just had a full dental. She is a non-shedder so her new owner should be dedicated to regular grooming appointments for her.... she is a princess, after all.
We will set up a meet & greet upon approved application, so please email to request one if you’d like to meet this little hot number 😊 ❤
