My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT DAFFODIL: I’m a young mama who’s done raising my babies and ready to live a relaxed and lazy life by your side. I’m a beautiful buff tabby and have pretty golden eyes. I need a home with no other animals as I’m pretty territorial of my space. I love attention and make silly sounds when you’re giving me my favorite wet food. While I don’t much like to be picked up and held, I do like to lay next to you and love lots of pets and scratches. My favorite thing to do is to watch out the window. If you want a independent companion to keep you company, I’m your gal! Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Adoption fee is $80.00.

Date of birth: 03/20/2020
Good with other cats = Very selective
Good with dogs = Probably not
Good with children = Teenagers
Housetrained = Yes
Color/markings: Buff tabby with white markings

Additional adoption info

The first step in the process of adopting a pet from Companion Cats is to complete an adoption application. It provides information that enables us to assist you in the selection of a pet. Together, we will be able to determine if the adoption is in the animal’s best interest, and the process ensures that you will find an animal well-suited to your lifestyle.

Our $80.00 adoption fee for Adult cats (or $120.00 for two) and $100 adoption fee for Kittens (or $150 for two) includes the cost for general care while being fostered, microchipping, age appropriate vaccinations, testing for FIV/FeLV, and spaying or neutering of the animal. To be considered as an adopter, you must:

*Be at least 18 years old
*Have a valid driver’s license or Michigan Identification Card stating your current address
*Provide the name and phone number of your veterinarian
*Have the knowledge and consent of a landlord, if relevant (also provide the name and phone number of your landlord)
*Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment, proper nourishment and care, as well as, training for a pet

Call 269-569-4152 to begin the adoption process.

NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be adopted to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the adoption applications.

More about this shelter

Companion Cats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers. Our mission is to spay or neuter and find suitable homes for unowned cats, thus ending the suffering of abandoned and homeless cats living on the streets.

Once spayed our goal is to place them in an environment that best fits each cat. This method provides the most humane living situation possible. Both friendly and feral alike deserve the perfect forever home. If the cat is not very friendly but is homeless, perhaps this means being a “Barn Buddy” or being introduced into a controlled colony. If feral kittens are found, it might mean living in a volunteer foster home where they can be socialized until old enough to be tested for FIV & FeLV, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption
