Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max is being fostered in IL
Hi Folks-
My name is Max and people say that I am cute as a button, because….well…. I am! I am a pampered, very well cared for 10 year old and still have a lot of sass in my attitude and pep in my step.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I find myself in the position of searching for a new human who would enjoy a constant companion to spoil. That is the job that gives me pleasure and I do it well. I will sit by your side on the sofa at all times. If you are busy somewhere else in the house, I will curl up in my dog bed nearby or follow you so you know that I am hard at work and you don’t miss me. If I get a little bored, I amuse myself with squeaky, squeaky, squeaky toys. I love squeaky toys! If that is a sound that you find annoying, you need not apply.
Don’t get me wrong. I do not merely lie around the house. I enjoy an adventure as much as the next pup. I have fun taking little walks several times a day and exploring nature. I ride well in a car, so I can accompany you wherever you go. It makes me very unhappy when you leave me at home alone, but I will behave and will greet you expecting hugs the minute you return.
This probably all sounds pretty good to you, but I should let you know that I am not perfect. My vision is not so great because of my cataracts, but it doesn’t get me down. I still have my hearing which is exceptional (even for a dog) as you might have guessed from my photo. I require structure in my routine as I must be fed measured portions at the same times each day, followed shortly after with insulin. This is a big commitment from my human, but I make it very easy. I am patient for my meals and I do not fuss or complain about taking my shots.
So if you are a committed human with an uncluttered schedule, looking for a devoted companion to fill your home with puppy love and don’t mind the sound of squeaky toys, you just might be the person for me.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
