Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Earl! This big-headed boy couldn't be sweeter! He sits, stays, takes treats gently, catches them like a pro when you toss them, loves to chase the ball, and is gentle with children.. babies included! He lights up at the sight of a human and is so happy getting attention from them. He loves belly rubs, is amazing on a leash, stays where you ask him to and waits until you give him permission to go to his food bowl. He does great with other dogs, he loves to play with them! He is housebroken and crate trained and will go to "his spot" ( the crate) when you ask him to. Earl was taken to the shelter to be surrendered due to moving. When his family found out they needed to make an appointment 2 weeks out to surrender him, they left with him. Within an hour of them leaving, one of our volunteers found him about 2 miles from the shelter. His family had abandoned him and left him on the side of the road to fend for himself. Now he is safe with us! His current foster says he is just a delight to have and has been the easiest dog to train. He is very smart, loyal, and loving. He will make a wonderful family pet and we promise, he won't hesitate to show you how much he loves you every day. It's almost like he knows he is safe now and just wants to say thank you every chance he can!
Interested in becoming a forever home for Earl? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Earl.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Earl the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
