My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Who would've guessed that this big ol hunk of love was a recent former stray tomcat? He's always ready for some love from the humans coming in & out of the room all day & boy would he ever just let you pet & love on him all day long if you let it happen! Howard can often be found lounging in a pile of other cats in the room with him. He can get grumpy with the younger kitties but he definitely seems to get along just fine with the older ones. Howard would love a home where he has lots of comfy & warm spots to lay & a nice human to pet him to his heart's content. He'd do well with another older cat or two, in a home with older children or no children. Howard is up to date on his vaccines & is neutered. As always, all cat/ kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicants

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
