My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing the resilient and beautiful Mama Lacey! This sweet girl is the mama to the color litter that was on death row at a local shelter. Thanks to a first-time foster stepping up, she and her babies were saved. All of her littles have been adopted, now she is ready to find a home of her own, too!

Mama Lacey is a sweet, mild-mannered, affectionate young adult. She had a rough beginning, so she is a little timid upon meeting new people, but when she gets to know you, she is full of love and snuggles! She is learning that new people are great and her foster parents love seeing her come out of her shell. This girl loves her bones and toys and you might find them hidden across your yard - it’s a fun game she plays!

Lacey is working on leash skills and getting comfortable outside of the home. Her favorite thing to do is run around the backyard at her foster home! She comes when called & is already showing off an awesome recall which we love to see! If her foster dad goes outside and doesn’t bring her with him, she stands by the door and cries because she wants to come, too! She sits and waits for her food, and hasn’t shown any resource guarding.

This mama has a lot of love to give, and deserves a home of her own where she can learn “how to dog” and grow into the amazing dog we know she can be. We would love to see her go to a home with a BIG yard where she can continue to work on leash skills & run around, taking in her surroundings. She would be ok as an only dog, or with a patient and confident fur sibling that would help guide her in her new home. If you’re ready to give this girl a chance, apply today!
