My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Bruno!!

This sweet boy has had a tough past but he is ever so resilient! He LOVES people but no kitties, please! He has had a tough time recently so currently he needs to be your one and only pet.

Bruno knows hand commands for sit, down, and place. He is so smart! He is housebroken BUT he does not handle change well so please expect some accidents during the first week or so in his new home. Once he settles in, when he wants or needs to go out, he will bark OR he nibbles on your knees and elbows. Yes, this sounds strange but he is trying to "talk" to you!

Bruno loves to lay on the floor or couch and have his belly and neck scratched. He loves to chew on toys, and play with treat filled toys.

He loves watching out the windows and observing what's going on in his neighborhood. Bruno would love best to live in a quiet home, he loves a country setting!  Any family would be lucky to have him. Is it you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
