Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Ruby, and I am IN LOS ANGELES looking for my forever home! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family!
ID/NAME: Care22-020 / Ruby
SEX/WEIGHT/AGE: Female / 85lbs / 1.2 years
BIRTH DATE: 12/1/2021
BREED: Hound/Jindo mix
VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Up to date with vaccines
BEHAVIOR: Gentle and cheerful.
Ruby was surrendered back to DoVE Project due to unforeseen events in the adoptive family's life. She is a large, happy dog that loves to romp and play. Ruby is rambunctious and would do well with an active family with a decent-sized backyard for quick playtime. She will need plenty of physical exercises as well as mental stimulation. She especially enjoys playtime with larger dogs!
Currently, Ruby is in a board-and-train facility. Her trainer says that Ruby is doing great and is ready to settle in as a beloved family pet! Her manners have improved with both humans and other dogs. Ruby likes having a routine and is pretty independent. Ruby does great in pack walks and is excelling in proper leash etiquette! Ruby will thrive with someone who is patient and dedicated to continuing her training. A larger resident dog would make the transition to her new home even better!
ABOUT JINDOS
Jindos are known for their fierce loyalty, high intelligence, rarely barking, and playful nature. They make great indoor family dogs, as Jindos are clean and easily housetrained, and are faithful to family members. They are also mid-level active and love being socialized at dog parks, going on hikes, and joining the family on trips.

DoVE Project operates a shelter in South Korea, where our dogs stay until they are matched with an adopter. In the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names.
Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. Please check our website for more information regarding our adoption process, our mission, and adoption application: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-process
