My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** If you are interested in Athena, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ WE DO NOT ACCEPT INQUIRIES**

Athena is a beautiful, 3-4 year old, 35 lb Schnauzer/Wirehaired Pointer mix with all the traits that make these super-smart and personality-plus dogs very popular breed mixes for families and individuals searching for a loving and loyal best friends. Athena came to Farfel's Rescue with Winston (who has since been adopted) that we suspect is her son. We will be more than happy to connect Athena and Winston's adopters if they want to be in touch!

Athena is a mellow gal. She is extremely friendly with every person she meets, and every dog! She loves to lounge around on the couch, according to her foster. She is also potty trained!

Athena has a stunning wire haired coat that is currently shelter-tired. In a responsible, nurturing home however, Athena's hair will quickly regain its good health and luster. Athena will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are excellent lifelong protocols for hair care and general longevity) to keep her coat cottony-soft, matt-free and shining with good health.

Athena is up to date on her shots, but has yet to be spayed. We cover the cost of spay at our approved Vet Clinic. This supports our work and hopes that one day dog overpopulation will become a thing of the past and therefore it will be unnecessary to euthanize a healthy dog.

Athena is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
