Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BRAVE's name is purrfect for this cat. He was rescued from living on the streets of Kuwait by some good Samaritans. Seeing him fending for himself in such bad physical condition must have been heart wrenching. His eyes were almost glued shut from a severe URI and his teeth were so rotted causing obvious pain when he ate.
Brave is an older male anywhere between 7 to 10 years. We don't know his exact age but life on the cruel streets ages all cats. He is definitely part British ShortHair.
When rescued he had dirty matted medium to long hair. He came to us fully shaved and cleaned up. Now his beautiful silky fur is growing back.
The shape of his face definitely depicts the British ShortHair breed that is very popular and sought after in the Middle East for their appearance and demeanor. Sadly they breed them and dump any kittens or cats that are not sold at the markets. Rescues in the US are constantly asked to help these wonderful BSH abandoned cats.
His appetite has improved greatly and he is starting to show pep in his step by trotting around the foster cat room looking to play with a toy. Life on the street has brought out his need to be TOP CAT so we think he would be happiest as an only cat so he can be the king of the estate and won't have to share his food, bed and toys. He possibly might be OK with a very gentle dog but not sure.
We have fully vetted Mr Brave with neutering, FIV/FELV neg, vaccines, blood work and dental. He had 7 teeth extracted.
Brave needs to be on a special diet called CD to prevent any crystals. It is very easy to obtain and not much more expensive than a good quality cat food.
Please open your heart up to an older cat who has really suffered in his life...his journey has been amazing with so many volunteers helping along the way. All he needs now is a forever home to show his love and gratitude.
