My name is Toby!

UPDATED BIO 05/09/2010: Toby here! I had a spa day last week and got my summer cut. I am looking SO FLY!! I know I was handsome to begin with but this does make me look much slimmer. FM said I don't put on any weight, I stay at that svelt 7 lbs and am all leg, the better to run around the yard with. I have learned what fun it is to be picked up and give lots of kisses. My foster brother taught me how to do that and it's now one of my favorite things to do. That and wrap up around Foster Dads neck and take a nap. I am still doing a really good job using my pee pads, so don't forget to keep them in the house if you think about me, but I no longer have the expense of a monthly medication for my anxiety. All is quiet there, just hang out with me all the time, we're good!!! :-) Hope to hear from you real soon.

UPDATED BIO 4/19/2010: Toby here, "Handsome" to all of you in the know. I'm 7.5 lbs and 4 years old. Wanted to drop by and give you an update on how life is SO GOOD. To start with, still Handsome (and don't forget). FM has been home from work this week and that has made me a very happy boy. I've also been off all medications for anxiety for approximately a month now and doing very well (See, I didn't need it!). No real issues.... still using my pee pads and still thrilled to see you if you've been gone, even if you were just outside in the yard. You couldn't return any too soon. I'm getting to be really good buddies with that other foster in the house, Mr. Harvey. We are becoming fast friends. So if you think about me, think about him too. Walks are still one of my favorite things to do and car rides are very cool. So don't forget about all the fun things we can do together. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

UPDATED BIO 04/03/2010: Toby says, "Toby here! I'm 7.5 lbs and 4 years old! Happy Easter to everyone out there. Just a friendly reminder Handsome Toby here and so thoroughly loving this weather. FM wanted me to pass on that I haven't been on any anxiety medications for about 3 weeks now and seem to be doing just fine. I just get really, really, REALLY excited to see you when you come home. Now you may have been gone 5 minutes, but it feels like forever to me. I may even be able to see you through the glass door if you're in the garage, but you're still away from me, so that gets just as much of my welcome as if you've been gone all day! I still have some teeny weeny issues with my peeing, but am doing a good job of using the pee pad. FM is so very glad she found that one out! I do enjoy my walks now that the weather's better, and I am even getting along well with all the new neighbors I am meeting. A little shy at first, but after a few minutes I do warm up. So the better for you to keep me in your thoughts and think about taking me home. If you don't have another puppy in your home for me, think about adopting one of us from the website here. Harvey and I are getting to be good buddies!!! "

UPDATED BIO 03/21/2010: Toby here! Remember? I'm 4 years old and 7.5 lbs. Here I am again, fans, just as handsome as I can be!! I had a bath today.... can't believe she did that to me. I really was just fine, but she said I look even better now. I was a little concerned about the new little guy in the house (Harvey), but he plays with me; so we get along just fine. I'm not overly happy when he gets the attention I'm supposed to be getting, but I know my turn will come... so I just relax and wait. I know you're still thinking about me, so quit overthinking and take some action. Put in that application and seal it with love and kisses just for me, because I really do like those hugs and kisses. xoxo Toby


UPDATED BIO 03/07/2010: Toby here! FM said I had to let you know real quick 3 of the qualifications, she won't let me be denied of:
1. Someone does have to be home with me during the day, for dual reasons, my separation anxiety and my pee wee issues. I can be left alone for a couple of hours, but not a whole day and I do get distracted real easy, so it does take me a while to pee.
2. I need another small puppy for a play pal. I'm not overbearing and don't get real rowdy, but I really do like having a buddy to play with.
3. I need a fenced in back yard. I LOVE to sit out in the sun, but then again, for reason's mentioned earlier, you have to take the time to stay out there with me.
I don't really think I'm asking alot, I know the perfect home is out there for me..........and don't forget how HANDSOME I REALLY AM...........ta ta for now, Toby

UPDATED BIO 02/28/2010: Toby's back and wanted to remind you How Handsome I am!!!! FM said to tell you she found out what a goooood watchdog I am. We had strangers in the house this weekend and they spent the night, so whenever they got up to go get water, I LET EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE KNOW SOMEONE WAS UP. Oh yeah, I told them alright. I'm doing real good on my pee pee issue. If you watch me real close you start to pick up on what I'm telling you when it's time to go out. Of course going out about every 2 hours helps a lot, and I'm only taking one of those pills for anxiety every other day. I really like hanging around with FD all day and my furbrother and fursister. FM said to tell you I'm not a real hyper little guy, in fact I'm kind of laid back for my age, all the better for you to spoil me.

So keep thinking about me, and don't forget how handsome I am!


UPDATED BIO 02/21/2010: Toby here! Remember, I'm 4 years old and weigh 6.1 pounds (we got an acurate reading at the vet's office! Nobody knew I was so small!) Well, here's a few things I taught my FM and FD this week.

I am a little anxious guy, but not so bad, I just want to be glued to your side all day long! Don't go out of my sight - I'll live if you do, but I'm not going to like it a whole lot!! I sleep next to your side all night and hardly ever move. I like cuddling up with you during the day, and I'll see if I can get closer at night :). I don't like loud noises a lot, or loud voices. I get scared and shake. I'm doing real well with my wee wee if I'm taken outside every couple of hours. I do get side tracked real easy, so it usually takes me a while to go.

I'm thinking my perfect home would be with another little dog to play with....could be brother or sister. I'm not too proud. I really would like someone home with me all day. You can leave but not all day!

I'm going for my dental tomorrow and will be ready for my FURever home real soon, so think real hard about what I've said. If you think you're the home for me, please fill out an application.

ORIGINAL BIO 02/12/2010: Hi there! I'm Toby! I'm 4 years old and weigh 7.5 lbs. My owner had to rehome me, and she was very sad to see me go. I told her not to worry and that UYR would help me find the bestest new home and FURever mommy and/or daddy EVER! I'm one handsome little guy if I do say so myself. I'm already fixed (was I broken?), and I have all my shots (ouchie!). I haven't been here long; so, we don't have a lot of information yet. All we know so far is that I am handsome, sweet tempered, and I get along with everyone in the house so far. I don't have any medical issues - just a little accident here and there they say (so far so good). They also say I have some separation anxiety (but again, so far so good!). But did I remember to tell you how handsome I am?

FM said to tell you she'll give you more info as she gets to know me better, and don't forget how handsome I am!!!!
