My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Freda and I am a female white fronted Amazon and I hatched in 1995 so I am 26 years old.  I am scared of the color black and I have a good vocabulary.  I don’t step up and am cage dominant and prefer women. I like to say I love ya, pretty fred, kisses, watcha doin, goodnight and hello. My adoption fee is $250.

Our birds are not available for breeding and we do not ship birds, so you must travel to our south Kansas City area facility. Potential adopters must email us at BurgeBirdRescue@yahoo.com for an appointment, fill out an adoption application, and pass a screening interview to ensure that our birds are going to a safe home. There is usually a 48 hour waiting period after your interview before you are allowed to adopt because we want people to take time and think through their decision. All birds come with a 30 day health guarantee and return policy, and have been examined and tested by our avian veterinarian.
