Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus is an amiable 5- yr-old Shih Tzu, friendly with adults & most dogs, cats unknown. He is house-trained, vetted, up to date on Rabies & DHPP, neutered, & microchipped. He enjoys his walks with his buddy & people, sniffing & exploring. He now feels safe & trusting enough to play with toys & balls. His previous owners slammed his tail in the hatchback & left him devastated, distraught, in pain, & homeless at the vet clinic. His tail had to be amputated. He has been 4 months physically & emotionally healing here. We've done pain medication & laser treatments on his tail & on the strain to his backend to promote healing which he likes. He has learned that 'hands can sooth & not hurt', as hands have hurt him in his past, but he's still cautious. We are looking for an experienced, quiet, knowledgeable adult only home with people who are able to 'read' the 'dog signs' & understand his discomfort. Zeus does now have a bite history, due to the painful injury & no pain management initially. An adult only home with a fenced backyard is a requirement. No apartments/condos, no kids.
