We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. Meet sweet little “Lucky” Lenny
He was hit by a car in Mexico and the driver brought him to our sister shelter in Playa del Carmen. He was x-rayed, and thoroughly looked over and by some miracle he had minor lesions and bruises. For a dog so small, there is a reason we call him “Lucky” Lenny. He did test positive for Ehrlichia but has been treated with 30 days of Doxycycline which is the proper protocol.
He is a sweet boy, who loves to play, and loves life and people. This lovable boy would be best joining a family where he could get the attention he deserves. He is great with dogs, and since he may be smaller than your average cat, he may be a bit tentative but with proper introduction and dog savvy cats we are confident it will be a smooth transition for him.
Since Lenny is a puppy, he needs a fairly active family who would be willing to exercise him minimum twice daily and definitely needs obedience training since he has only known life on the streets as far as we know. A fully fenced backyard would be ideal so he could run and play, however this is not a pre-requisite. Since he is not a huge barker, an apartment or condo would be fine for him as well.
If you feel you would be the right fit for Lenny, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca\
All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heartworm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.
BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
