My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello my name is Winston. I am a little shy at first but the goofiest and sweetest doggo you will ever meet once I'm comfortable. I am an almost 5 month old Australian shepherd mix (mom is an Aussie) with a tail, weighing in at 30lbs. I must look like my dad, but I have no idea who he is.

I am currently being fostered in Fredericksburg, VA. I have learned my name and will come to you, but mostly because I want to play or get belly rubs. I will be your shadow wherever you go and wait on the other side of the door when you go to this thing you call the bathroom.

I have learned my basic commands such as sit and come, but you must have good treats if you want me to lie down or give paw. I am still a hyper puppy so please have patience with me. I am more than willing to be your loyal, best friend. I am great with people, love kids and great with dogs. I would love a furever home with a 4-legged friend or it may take me some time to get comfortable as I do have some mild separation anxiety. This may go away as I gain confidence. I mastered the use of a dog door, so if you have one that's a plus.

I am crate trained and potty trained. I am still learning to walk on leash, there are just so many smells that I want to run everywhere. I am very loving, goofy and playful. I enjoy the outdoors but will always settle down easily and cuddle with my person at the end of the day. I can't wait to have a pack of my own. I am up to date on vaccines but will need to be neutered.
