Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Visitors at our shelter are limited to those who have submitted applications, so if interested in adopting, please fill out our application: https://www.lighthouseanimalshelter.org/application-instructions
Our application gives us a better idea of what you are looking for in a dog so we can do our best to match you up with the right fit. We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.

A message from Ginger:
I am a little over 1 year old now. I am 50-55 lb.
My paperwork says I am a Pointer mix
Dogs: I love other dogs - I get along best with dogs my size or bigger.
Cats: I haven't met cats yet.
Ginger aims to please like no other! Her favorite things are walks, snuggling with her people, and kisses! She is an extremely affectionate dog, who sometimes doesn’t realize her own size. She wants to be glued to your hip or in your lap at all times.
She is excited about life so she jumps up to greet people and check counters. She's working on her leash skills: She’s already gotten better, except when she sees a squirrel or bunny, then all bets are off the table.
She has jumped a 4-foot fence before and attempted to chase a squirrel up a 6-foot fence. She doesn't show interest in our fence line at the shelter but her forever family should supervise her in the yard.
She is being fostered with 3 other dogs. She seems to love every dog she meets but can be a little too much for the little ones.
In her foster home, she settles in the crate nicely when tired and calm and quiet. She will whine and bark a bit at first depending on how tired she is, but she eventually naps. She sleeps all through the night in her crate.
She hasn’t had any potty accidents inside.
She’s ready and willing to learn, and with confident handling and lots of love, she would be a loyal companion!
