My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All the way from the island of Grenada, Marble came down with urinary crystals and needed prescription food. With Covid and supply chain issues, the owner was unable to obtain the food she needs. A chaperone was found and Marble flew to Charlotte, NC. A friend picked her up at the airport and we fetched her from there. She is now in Wilmington, NC and getting the food and treatment she needs. She will likely need to stay on her prescription diet the rest of her life. Other than this, she is a happy and healthy young lady.

Marble is an unusually dark grey and white tuxedo. She is very friendly and chatty at times. She would do fine with children or a nice dog, but other cats make her very uncomfortable. She is affectionate and likes to sleep on a cat tree or the end of the bed.

Marble needs a stress free home where she can get her prescription diet. Stress can be a big factor in causing another flare up. She enjoys lounging in the sun, so could be an indoor/outdoor cat in the right neighborhood, or a home with a screened in porch.

Applications will be considered for the Wilmington, NC area to those 21 or older. http://www.felinematchmakers.org

More about this rescue

Faith McNitt started Feline Matchmakers in January of 2020. We are a small organization that focuses on owner surrenders. The larger organizations focus on shelter pulls, so we feel this is the most needed service in Wilmington, NC. We also work TNR cases in small numbers. We are looking for fosters to build our organization. All fosters work on a charity basis, as we do not yet have the funding to pay for anything other than medical expenses. If interested in joining us to save cats from being euthenized or put in shelters, please contact us.
