My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ladybird, a remarkable and resilient pup on a quest for a new beginning!

Ladybird's journey has been a whirlwind, but her spirit remains unbroken despite being abandoned by her family. This high-energy, intelligent girl is a blend of Labrador and Pitbull, radiating both strength and smarts. While her past may have left her a bit confused, she's proving to be an outstanding girl with a heart full of love and a mind eager to learn.

This sweet soul craves the guidance of an experienced handler due to her strength and intelligence. Ladybird's intelligence makes her a thrilling companion to train, and she'll thrive with someone who can match her enthusiasm for learning. Unfortunately, her previous upbringing means she's best suited as the only pet in the household. However, her affection knows no bounds when it comes to humans, especially the little ones!

Scout's Honor Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to saving dogs from high-risk situations, is spearheading Ladybird's journey to finding a loving forever home. We rescue pups like Ladybird from euthanasia lists in high-kill shelters across Texas. Your support and interest in fostering or adopting Ladybird could change her life forever.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to Ladybird, please complete our fostering or adoption application. We'll get in touch with you soon to begin this incredible journey together.

Join us in spreading Ladybird's story and our mission by following Scout's Honor Rescue on Facebook and Instagram. Your support and engagement can make a world of difference in finding Ladybird the loving family she deserves.

Donations play a crucial role in our rescue efforts. Your generosity fuels our mission and directly supports dogs like Ladybird. You can contribute via Venmo, PayPal, or through our website. Remember, every dollar counts and goes directly to saving these precious lives.

At Scout's Honor Rescue, we're entirely volunteer-based, ensuring that 100% of your donations are dedicated to rescuing and caring for dogs in need. We cover all expenses associated with fostering, making it easier for you to open your heart and home to Ladybird.

Can you foster Ladybird and help her start her new chapter? Your support, whether through fostering, adopting, donating, or spreading the word, makes all the difference in these dogs' lives. Together, we can make sure Ladybird and pups like her find the love and care they deserve.

Thank you for considering being a part of Ladybird's journey and supporting Scout's Honor Rescue's lifesaving mission. ❤️

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
