**ADOPTION PENDING** Bear is scrumptious and delicious and lemme just warn you now, will steal your heart the minute you're in his presence. A classic black and tan, he's barely out of the puppy stage. He comes to us a victim of divorced parents, and we're all a little in love with him.
Bear will surely increase your circle of friends with his looks and personality. He's a magnet of ooooh's and ahhhhh's, and altogether a happy-go-lucky kinda guy. Bear's super-duper sweet and will do best with another doggo friend and a fenced yard (because puppy.) He's a fit for someone who spends time at home, and therefore with him, and he'll be a great match for kids 8+ who know how to respectfully treat a longdog.
*Bear is a Legacy Dog. Legacy Dogs are highly adaptable dogs that can assist other dogs in our rescue with their vetting bills. Legacy dogs have a much higher desirability quotient. They're young, healthy and usually purebreds. These dogs leave a financial legacy for those animals who need extra help – whether they need extensive medical care or just a little more time to find a loving home.
If you are interested in adopting Bear *Legacy Dog*, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to
our online adoption application. Bear *Legacy Dog*'s adoption fee is $600. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Bear will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if youâre in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - weâll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
