My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chance, a 3.5-year-old Boxer mix with a heart full of love waiting to shine. Chance is looking for a calm, patient forever home where he can thrive. While he may be slow to warm up at first, once he’s comfortable, he’ll be your most loyal and devoted companion. This smart and eager-to-please pup adores squeaky toys and absolutely melts for a good butt scratch.

Chance would do best as the only dog in a home without children, so he can enjoy all the attention and comfort he deserves. If you’re ready to give Chance the loving home he’s been waiting for, he’ll repay you with a lifetime of loyalty and affection.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
