Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bentley is a rambunctious 4 ½ month puppy. His mother is a full Aussie, and dad may be a hound, but that’s simply a guess. What this means is that Bentley is fun-loving and a clown. He is bold and inquisitive, clumsy and goofy. Bentley will make you laugh with his antics.
He is super athletic and loves to jump. He also thinks that wherever you are – in bed, on the couch – that is where he belongs! He LOVES playing with his brother, Finn, and has a rough and tumble style of play. So, if there is another dog in the home, that dog should be robust and happy to play. He is respectful of older dogs though and adjusts his behavior. He is very curious about cats and would do well with a very dog savvy cat who can teach him proper manners. He also loves playing with his humans.
Bentley loves to jump for kisses, so may not be the best option for small children. Children over the age of 8 who appreciate, and respect dogs would be welcome though.
Bentley is very energetic but loves his evening cuddles. He is responsive to training and is food motivated. He will require exercise, both mental and physical. He rides in the car like a champ and loves to snuggle. He would do best with a fenced yard, but more importantly, he needs to be with his people.
He would love to go hiking and will be a good running companion. He is going to be a fun adventure companion and is a total love muffin. Bentley is happy, hanging in the yard, watching the birds go by. He is not as protective as most Aussies, but will follow his brother, Finn’s, lead on when he should bark. He loves to sit on the deck overlooking the yard.
Bentley is 75% house trained, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and is microchipped. He will require neutering when the time is right. He is working on leash training and doing well! He is very interested in meeting everyone on the walk. He sleeps in a crate and is fine crated for short periods during the day.
Bentley is being fostered in Falls Church, VA.
