My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Ivie! I am some sort of mutt and about 6 months old (Aug 2022). My mom looks like a miniature German Shepherd. Her human disappeared and by the time the Police came to our home, we had been living alone for several weeks. We were really skinny and needed some special help. Our four other brothers and sisters had died due to our mom not getting enough food and water. Mom was so sad, and she seemed like she was gonna die too.

We came to Pets Return Home at 3 weeks old and lived in the pack leader’s bedroom until we were 6 weeks old. Mark spent a lot of time with us making sure we had some extra milk and homemade gruel. Yummy! He got our mom's weight back up. We learned so much from her. She is an awesome mommy!

Both my mom and brother Indie have been adopted. I am still here looking for a family to love me. I really need a lot of love because of the 3 weeks we spent with no humans and no socialization. I am a bit needy. But it will pass once I build more confidence by being with a human who loves me and helps me know I will never be all alone again.

I get along with the dogs here. But I am sometimes scared and run, and they bark at me and scare me more. But I do play with the other puppies here. I sleep with this really cool dog named Knox. He makes me feel safe and he plays with me. If you have another dog that would like a little sister I might be the best choice.

I want to be rescued and live with a human forever and share my love. Will you be my rescuer?
