Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nellie is a 4-year-old purebred Springer Spaniel. She is a petite little girl with the energy to light a city. She is an owner surrender due to their feeling that she was too protective of their family. They actually had an appointment to euthanize her, but made the right decision to let C.A.R.E.S. find her an appropriate home. After spending time with Nellie, we feel she was just confused about her role in the pack and she is very unsocialized and afraid of some things. She just needs someone with basic knowledge of dog behavior so that her fears are not fed, so that she will lead a much happier life from now on. She is a wonderful dog! All of our volunteers love her and she has been a perfect lady!
Nellie knows the basic commands and is very eager to please. She would also be a great pheasant dog. She is crate trained and house trained.
Nellie is fine with children, cats and is learning to be part of a dog pack. She is a very happy girl, always moving and always wagging her little tail! Need a jogging partner? She’d definitely keep up with you.
Who would love to give this girl the life she deserves?
This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just let us know. If you have questions about the dog, please call C.A.R.E.S. after 6:00 p.m. or email us. Sorry, but C.A.R.E.S. will NOT return long distance phone calls--our money is better spent on dog food............Thank you!
This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered
