Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jacques (or Jack or Jacky) he is a very excited little guy and ready to meet his new family. Jacques was found as a stray in Dallas, but you would never guess that as he has very good house manners. He is house trained, plays well with his toys by himself, loves a good game of fetch, and knows to sit, shake and stay. He is very personable and hasn’t met any person or dog he doesn’t want to introduce himself to immediately. Jacques has some energy, but a couple of 15-20 min walks and a chance to run in the yard and he’s good to go. He does well riding in the car as well as walking on the leash, even though most of the walk he wants to be the leader. He enjoys being a lap dog and cuddling next to you on the couch when you are watching TV or reading a book. He is very affectionate and loves to nuzzle as well as give gentle kisses to you and loves to be part of group hugs. Jacques can be considered for an apartment as long as he has a couple of sessions outside to run and play. He is also working on his bark, as he likes to say Hello to everyone as well as how we approach others. With Jacques, you will find a super sweet little man, great for a home office companion or being a great furry partner to just hanging out with and love on.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
