Alora (or Allie as her foster parents call her) was a stray in a rural TX shelter who no one came looking for. After spending a couple months there, they reached out to see if we could find her a forever home in CO. Because Allie is on the shy side, she needed to be shown that humans are here to give her love and food and belly rubs in exchange for absolutely nothing. Allie loves other friendly playful dogs and would love a confident, playful, well-balanced dog in her new home to guide her and help her adjust. Allie is an approx. 7-8 mos old BC/Malinois (according to her DNA results) mix who still has a lot of puppy in her. She has learned “sit”, “paw”, has a decent recall, and to potty outside with an occasional accident still but can hold it overnight if she goes before bedtime. Allie is learning to walk on the leash and will need a patient owner who can reward her for being brave and not wrapping the leash around your legs. Allie has not been tested with cats or kids and since she’s nervous around fast moving children, older or no kids would be best. We would not recommend cats. Allie would prefer a lower key home without a lot of commotion. With some patience and practice, she could blossom into a jogging buddy or hiking partner in no time. She’s an affectionate and silly, but chill girl and will need a little time to decompress in a new environment and reassurance when she gets spooked by new things. She does like to cuddle and hug her human for reassurance and a owner with shy dog experience would be preferred. Allie REQUIRES a secure 5-6’ fenced in yard since she doesn’t potty on walks yet and can have a sensitive tummy. She’s approx. 35# and could stand to gain a little more weight. Allie is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. If interested in meeting Allie and you meet the requirements above, you can complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with all humans and pets in the home. Allie’s adoption fee is $400 and we are not doing out of state adoptions.
