Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jazzy (F) is a 1.5yo Lab x St.Bernard. She is currently living with her foster mom, canine foster sister, and cats in a detached home with a fenced yard.
Jazzy is house and crate trained. She will sometimes bark for attention in her crate, but will likely settle better once she completely recovers from her TPLO surgery and has an outlet for her energy. Jazzy would do best in a detached home with a big yard to run in. She loves to run, dig, and play in any kind of water... even puddles! She would love if her future home had a kiddie pool to play in!
Jazzy is a sweet enormous puppy who loves all people and other dogs! She still has some puppy habits like zoomies and jumping up, but she is learning good manners in foster care.
Jazzy is the sweetest and happiest puppy! She may be full grown and in recovery from her TPLO surgery, but Jazzy still doesn't quite understand that she's not supposed to engage in high activity play, jumping or running. She wants to play lots of fetch, play hard with her foster sister and have the biggest active snuggles and tug of war! She can't wait till she's recovered from both surgeries to be able to life her best big puppy life and go on all the adventures with her forever people!
Jazzy loves all dogs and just wants to play play play! She doesn't like sharing high value treats or toys with other dogs, but is always happy making new friends. She has a very big and excitable play style that not all other dogs appreciate, but she is good at backing off when corrected. Jazzy lives with cats, but is too playful and big for them, and struggles with impulse control to leave them alone. She would do best in a home without cats.
Jazzy loves all people and just wants to be all over them! She loves strangers, loves the vet, and loves car rides to explore new places! She can be tough to groom, but only because she needs to work on sitting still.
Jazzy loves food and enjoys training, but still has to work on training with distractions and duration. She is working hard on proofing "place" and chewing bones calmly to work on mental exercise while her physical exercise is limited post-surgery. She is eating all her food through training which tires her out, and plenty of enrichment. Jazzy has a zest for life and is looking for some adventurous adopters to do all the fun things with! Jazzy can be possessive with resources and has growled when approached chewing a high value treat line a bone. She has not snapped or escalated, but her future home will have to be mindful around high value treats and manage her environment.
Jazzy is pretty good on leash, although she will pull towards exciting things on walks. She has come out to a few events and has been very well behaved with all of the activity going on.
Here is what her foster mom has to say about her:
"Jazzy is super happy, loving, and goofy! She loves everyone and everything and loves to have an area to dig or splash water everywhere . Jazzy is silly and likes carrying toys around and playing with them. She is obsessed with bones! She's a huge chewer and enjoys having bones and antlers to keep her busy during quiet time. She loves being touched but will get hyped up if not controlled. She loves walks, car rides, and ice cream! She is a wonderful gal who needs a strong handler to correct her pushiness and attention seeking. Also needs a patient handler to help her learn to be calm and quiet."
