Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Ally. She is a 51lb mixed breed, we estimate her to be a collie/Terrier mix. She has a beautiful soft medium-length coat. Ally is 1 year old and was found as a stray by the shelter. Ally is a lovely quiet dog. She loves to be with her people more than the other foster dogs in the home. She is very sweet and loves to be cuddled. She often can be found napping on the floor, spread out like a frog, beside her foster parent's chairs. She was too thin upon arrival in Rescue so is currently on puppy food to increase her body weight twice daily. Ally is housebroken and sleeps through the night on a doggie bed. Ally prefers dogs that are confident. Dogs that are skittish or exhibit nervous energy, make her want to chase after them. The Vets estimated her to be a year old but we believe she may be 18 months, due to her maturity level. She is not destructive in the home and does not need to be crated. She rides very well in the vehicle. She requires more work on the leash but will learn very quickly as she is very smart. She listens very well and has good recall. We do not know if she is good with cats but we believe with her herding instincts, she would chase them so a cat-free home is necessary. Ally enjoys toys and children. She will make a fantastic family dog. Her calm nature makes fostering her a joy. The ideal home for Ally is one where the family members include her in their social activities. Since she enjoys being around the family so much, leaving her at home while the family goes out all the time will never work. We are looking for a family that will enroll her in basic obedience classes. This is a wonderful time for her to bond with the family members that take her. Ally is spayed, up to date with vaccines, 4 DX tested negative, and microchipped. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory in order to apply for our Ally.
