My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otie was rescued when he suddenly showed at a feral cat trapping site. Unlike the feral cats we were trapping there, he called out to us the moment he saw us arrive and asked to picked up. He talked to us the whole drive back to the rescue, politely insisting that he was not an outdoor cat at all, but really he an indoor pet in need of a loving human. Otie was so sad when we placed him in a kennel, but we could tell was sick from his time outdoors. He couldn't understand why he wasn't allowed free reign in our location, It was clear he wanted to greet every person, cat and dog he saw with a head butt, but we had to get him healthy first.
Otie is a senstive little guy. His feelings were hurt when we administered yucky meds twice a day. He became depressed spending time separated from people..Often he could only be convinced to eat after cuddling him and talking to him. He's now feeling so much better. Otie still has an occasional sniffle, but he now has a huge appetite and lots of energy.
Otie is excited to see us each morning. He eagerly waits for someone to play with him and snuggle with him. He tries his best follow us around.. Otie loves human company and his company is an absolute joy. Otie NEEDS a person to love in order to live his best life.. Otie is available to be adopted immediately by as a first (or only) cat. We are waiting for his follow up vet appointment and a clean bill of health before Otie can join another cat friend in a new home (which we think he would love), We want to be sure Otie is fully recovered from his sniffles before any introductions to other pets. Otie is much interested in love and attention than food. His human should be someone who will allow him to be their shadow and enjoy playing .with him is. We are confident Otie will make a wonderful friend and snuggle buddy for another cat. He has already met a small dog and was perfectly relaxed and interested in getting to know him. Otie is very trusting and doesn't seem to recognize when another animal might be a danger to his safety,.so any dog in the adopter's home must be gentle and friendly with cats. Please complete our adoption application if you would like to meet Otie. He is waiting for you to find him!.
