ZEUSS is a handsome 6 year old young man. His favorite thing in the world is the kiddie pool. Yes he loves other things like his people, walks, food, treats and toys. But most of all he loves the water, any water, a puddle, a pool or a kiddie pool. He will just plop himself down in it like he’s it's a fancy pool at the Ritz Carleton.
Zeuss lived with his family and his doggie sister until they lost their home recently. In one day he lost everything, the people he loved since puppyhood, the sister he loved and played with since she was a puppy and the extended family of children and adults that were part of his home. He knows basic commands like sit, shake and lay down. His former owner says he is good with kids and other dogs. No kitties please.
He is making the adjustment as best he can but his healing will happen best in a loving home with a new family. Zeuss enjoys walks and hikes. He walks well on a leash and is not reactive to other dogs he passes. He would love a family with a big yard as he likes to run off his zoomies before settling down in his kiddie pool.
Older children would be fine as he is a friendly guy but around little humans he may not be aware that he is a big guy, maybe 75 lbs.
Zeuss is pretty chill dog. He doesn’t jump up or bark a lot. This dignified gentleman is used to being a very loved and cared for dog. He is looking for a person to bond with and to love the way he he has know before he lost everything. He is a little reserved at first because he is still a bit confused. But he is learning from all our volunteers who work with him and give him lot’s of affection that the possibility of new love is there.
