My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES and PLEASE CONSULT WITH US BEFORE YOU PURCHASE RABBIT SUPPLIES!

Momma bun Shortbread was abandoned in a KFC parking lot. A Good Samaritan rescued her and brought her to Kribs for Kritters. Shortly after arrival she had a litter of babies that were born on March 13, 2022.

Shortstop & Shortcut are two remaining baby boy bunnies and they are already neutered and ready to go! They are the quintessential white bunnies!

Shortstop weighs just under three pounds and his right eye is brown and his left eye is half blue and half brown! Shortcut weighs a smidgen over three pounds and both of his eyes are a mesmerizing blue color!

These are sweet boy bunnies and will remain on the small side as they are almost full grown. They enjoy relaxing on a plush blanket on your lap while you give them caresses and kisses! They are learning what their favorite treats and veggies are! It’s fun to watch them try a new food for the first time!

Young bunnies require alfalfa hay and baby rabbit pellets until approximately eight months of age or so. As adult bunnies, they need Timothy or orchard hay and adult rabbit food pellets,

Shortstop & Shortcut can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation is conducted. Delivery to the greater Southern California region is available too. The adoption fee is $100 for the pair of boys,

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit and a questionnaire will be emailed to you. Thank you!

Bunnies should live indoors in an x-pen enclosure or homemade DIY wire grid system. Ultimately free roaming or a room or section of a room is an option for adult rabbits. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

BENEFITS OF ADOPTION FROM KRIBS FOR KRITTERS RABBIT RESCUE:

* Lifetime free nail trims and scent gland cleaning
* Unparalleled rabbit education before you adopt
* Ongoing support after you adopt
* Starter hay and toys
* Reasonably priced boarding when you're on vacation

Don't have the items you need to welcome a bunny to your home? No problem, I have low cost x-pen enclosures, litter boxes, bunny litter, hay, food pellets and toys to make new bunny ownership easier for you. Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

Or, if you prefer to get your bunny supplies ahead of time, PLEASE consult with me before you purchase them as I can direct you to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials.

Go meet their pets

Come find your new furry friend in Lake Elsinore at our private shelter by appointment or in Orange County or Los Angeles County at one of our foster homes. Rabbits can be transported to you in the greater Southern California region (including LA County, Orange County, San Diego County, Inland Empire, Ventura County).

More about this rescue

Kribs for Kritters primary focus is rescuing domestic rabbits that have been abandoned at parks, schools, golf courses, fitness trails and any other outdoor location. Kribs for Kritters also assists Golden View Farm Rabbit Rescue in their heroic efforts.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

We are both a rescue and a shelter. We have over 100 rabbits in our care. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. It is likely we have a bunny to suit your needs. New bunnies are being rescued every week. We don’t always have time/resources to post every bunny that crosses our path.

We have an exceptionally high success rate of bunny bonding on the very first date. So, if you’re looking for a mate for your existing bunny, give us a try.

Our operating costs are at least $1,000 per month so donations are always appreciated. Donations can be made to PayPal.me/kribsforkritters.
