Hello! I am Nita and I am searching for an active family to call my own. I am house trained and kennel trained. I really enjoy pleasing my people and am treat motivated! I am also smart and pick up on things easily. I do like children and most dogs. However I would probably do best in a home without other dogs or with a fairly low energy dog. Higher energy dogs and myself might be better not to live in the same space. SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS.

It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space.

We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.
