Meet Chicken Nugget!

Chicken Nugget is a silly and a somewhat rambunctious girl who was surrendered in February 2022. She is very sweet and gentle. In typical female syrian fashion she is quite particular about her environment and will most definitely inform you if it does not suit her tastes. Her current abode is a 40 gallon breeder tank which suits her much better as when she first arrived we housed her in a Prevue 528 and she displayed stress behaviors by bar climbing and chewing. Once she moved into her tank she quickly settled down.

All hammies at Small Pet Safe House are fed Higgins Sunburst seed mix as well as Mazuri Rat and Mouse lab blocks to meet all of their nutritional requirements. Chicken Nugget also very much enjoys her daily fresh foods - her top two favorites have been strawberries and cheese.

Like all syrian hamsters, Chicken Nugget is solitary by nature. She is quite happy to live alone and interact only with her humans.
