Jojo is a spunky, sweet, & typical (of his breed) tiny tornado. Though he would dispute the tiny part if you asked him!!
When his owners had financial hardships & could no longer care for him, he was surrendered to one of our partner shelters. Unfortunately, he was super stressed in the chaotic kennel environment, so they asked us for help placing him in a new furever home.
A playful & energetic small dog buddy would be fantastic, but he is willing to consider life as single dog for the right family. Lap time & cuddles are a must. Large dogs, small humans & strangers are bleh and to be barked at until they go away.
Due to Jojo's small size & tendency to mouth-play with humans (however gently, its bad habit to ever teach a dog!), Jojo is seeking either a no-kids or home with dog-savvy older kids only. He is housetrained & good on a leash, so an apartment situation would be OK for an active family.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption
Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
