POPPY is a happy, bouncy puppy who enjoys toys, food & people of all sizes. Being a puppy, leash walking is somewhat of a work in progress, but Poppy promises she is trying her best & wants everyone to know she has mastered the "outside potty" thing.
Poppy is crate trained, but would much prefer a spot in the "big bed" at night & makes an excellent foot warmer (when not nibbling human toes!). Puppy smooches & cuddles are her favorite things to share. She appreciates a good bowl of kibble, evening Milkbones, & an occasional Nylabone (or shoe?) to chew. Play-play-playful, non-grumpy dog buddies are awesome. Cat siblings would be OK, but should have dog-savvy social skills.
An adopter that will commit to continued training (and perhaps even puppy classes with a trainer) would be very beneficial to help this bouncing ball of energy continue on the right path.
If you think Poppy is the dog for you, please fill out an adoption application today!

POPPY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.
An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption
Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.

PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!
