My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harley!

Harley’s a little spark plug with a big booming personality wrapped up in his Cairn Terrier mix, 17- pound body. Even though he’s 10 years old, Harley has energy to spare. He’s going to need someone who can commit to enough exercise and play to keep his body and his mind occupied. Quite an easy trade off for the fun and affection Harley will provide. He’s perfectly healthy, housetrained, loves walks and is quick to learn. He ignores other dogs on his walks and is a perfect gentleman on trips to Lowe’s or Petco.

Per a recent day foster outing "I think the most glorious thing about Harley is that he can be whatever you need...if you want to play and goof about and playfight with a teddy, or practise tricks, he is up for it. If you want to snuggle on the sofa, he is there. If you want to go for a walk or a gentle hike, he is excited for adventure. If you need to sit and work from home, he is content on the sofa or asleep under a desk. If you need to leave him whilst you run errands, he is happy to snooze at home on the sofa alone, but will also run errands with you.

He is also cheeky but not naughty, and so, so funny. An all round excellent companion.

He’s got a ton of positive traits: but everybody’s got something, right? Shortly after Harley came to us, we noticed that he would have a negative reaction with some men, not all, just some. With this knowledge, we made the investment in training for Harley and we are happy to say it has had a very positive result! We are confident that Harley has overcome this not-so-nice behavior, but will need an adopter willing to meet with our trainer once or twice before making the transition to his new home. This is all included in his adoption donation and we are happy to do this because it’s what’s best for Harley and his new family.

He’s a wonderful little guy that needs a patient owner who can help Harley be the best dog that he can be. Apply today at foreverlovedpets.org/adopt.
