Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Available for adoption in Lake Helen, Florida
Hi, my name is Scarlett and I am 4 years old. I am a red tri and weigh 40 lbs. I am up to date on my vaccinations and preventatives. My foster mom says that I am a very loving, goofy, playful, and intelligent wigglebutt!
Things I'm good at:
1. I am super athletic and I LOVE to show off my moves. My favorite games are fetch, chasing lizards, herding my foster siblings and tug-o-war.
2. I enjoy going on adventures! I love car rides and exploring new places. My foster mom says I am an excellent hiking partner.
3. I love playing with my toys too! Chew toys are my all time favorite. I will happily chew quietly if you are busy.
4. I know sit, lay down, paw, leave it, off, and go to your crate. I am very smart and learn new commands quickly, just make sure you have plenty of yummy treats!
5. I sleep in my crate, but will cuddle with you all night if given the chance!
6. I love my puppy spa days. My foster mom says I do an excellent job at taking baths, getting my nails trimmed and being groomed.
7. I cry a little when they leave, but I do well being left out while my foster parents are gone as long as the trash is closed and there are no snacks left on the counters.
8. I am very affectionate and I love to be near my humans as much as possible. I love to give them cuddles and kisses!
Things I need to work on:
1. I need to continue working on my obedience training and boundaries. I get a little anxious meeting new people or dogs. I am protective of my humans and I need to take things slow. I need a good leader who is relaxed in this situation to help me get past it. Once I start to feel comfortable, I will be my sweet playful self.
2. I will let you know when I hear a strange sound, and although we are working on "quiet" I would annoy very close neighbors with my super important warnings.
I am looking for a forever home, and will need a few things:
1. I like to chase squirrels, lizards and cars, so I need a securely fenced yard to run and expend my energy safely.
2. Someone knowledgeable and patient enough to continue my training.
3. Lots of playtime and exercise! I have a lot of energy and would not do well being left alone for long periods of time.
4. A home with no children under the age of 12 years old. I don't know my own size and jump on people when excited.
5. Since I am a barker, no apartment or condos.
6. No cats in the home because I like to chase them.
7. I would do best as the only dog. I like my friends but I need my space.
8. A meet and greet with me and my foster mom is preferred.
If you have no kids under 12 and think that I a the perfect fit for you, please fill out the application:
