Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tango has been with us since July of 2017 when she was found lost and confused after the 4th of July. She was chipped but the info was out of date and no owner was ever found. She won the hearts of every person she met and soon became one of the crew. It will be a bittersweet day when she leaves the ranch with her forever family but it is what’s best for her. She would be living the rest of her life here if she weren’t picky about dog friends and could roam the ranch freely. But a life in a kennel with a few breaks in between is now way for her to spend her golden years.
Tango has a face for every occasion and can make you laugh when you need it most. She absolutely loves to be pet and belly rubs are her favorite thing in the whole wide world! She has kisses to spare and a whole lot of love for anyone who needs a pick me up. You can literally feel all the negative energy making it’s way out of your body and a wave of calm blanket you as you pet her. There’s nothing better than her sweet face and lovable demeanor to make you feel all better.
This beautiful lady has the perfect energy level for those who like leisurely walks and relaxed evenings, chilling on the couch. She is playful, just not over the top, play fetch all day kind of playful. She loves collecting rocks, though, and has her own special collection in her kennel. She is okay with most dogs but there are some she just cannot handle. She would be best in a home with older kids, if at all.
Our best guess about Tango’s breed is a mix of Pitbull and Mastiff. She is about 7 years old and is just starting to show a little shadow of silver on her beautiful face.
Tango, like all other dogs, deserves the perfect forever after. If you believe it’s with you, submit an adoption application today!
Please note:
All current AND previous pets (cats and dogs) MUST be up to date on vaccines and be spayed/neutered.
Please check with your landlord, if you rent, for breed and weight restrictions before applying.
We do not allow visitors unless you are an approved adopter.

More about this rescue
It all began late one evening when Meredith, founder of LCAR, watched John, co-founder, pull into the driveway with an unexpected passenger. There she sat in the front seat, as tall as she could possibly get, so she could look out over the dashboard. It was love at first sight. That’s when Roxy went home with Meredith and John, becoming the first of many, many rescued dogs, cats, and horses that were yet to find their way home to the ranch.
Lucky arrived soon after. She and Roxy were thick as thieves from day one and roamed the ranch as if they owned the place. Well, they did actually own the place!
Several dogs have shown up on the property since then, appearing as if out of thin air. They must have heard of the ranch being the place to be if you had no place left to go.
