Meet Wafer! She has been recently returned due to no fault of her own. Wafer has come a long way since being in HSEC care over a year ago. This once-shy girl has come out of her shell immensely. Wafer came to us from a hoarding situation, and while she appreciates those who have helped her, she can't help but wonder when she will find her forever home. Wafer does well with both dogs and cats and loves to show off her unique personality when interacting with them. Wafer has the most adorable floppy ears and the waggiest tail you've ever seen, and she gets so excited to see you once she recognizes you as her friend. She still has a long way to go, but after some time in foster, she is starting to get the hang of potty training and meeting new people. Not only is she adorable, but you can tell that Wafer has so much love to give and the kindest heart that she is ready to share with her person. With some love, patience, and care, Wafer could be the absolute perfect fit for your home! Trust me, you will not regret giving this sweet girl a chance. The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
