MEET ARCHIE
North New Jersey
This little guy is only 8 lbs. and around 8 yo. Maltese - Shih Tzu mix. Archie is the SWEETEST little guy. He is more on the timid side and is always seeking your approval. I don’t know what this poor little guy has been through but it is obvious he was yelled at all the time. He craves love and acceptance from his person.
Archie loves everyone he meets and is very quiet in his foster home. He lives with other pups but is clearly nervous around them. He is also nervous around loud noises even from the tv. His ideal home would be a VERY quiet home with lots of love and approval. He deserves to be spoiled and doted on. It would be great if he could be the only dog but he can live with another super chill small pup (meet and greet required). He loves going for car rides and being carried around. He would love nothing more than to be on your lap all day.
Archie is housebroken and also knows how to use potty pads. He is HW negative, UTD on shots, neutered, and dewormed. Sadly, he had a dental and needed to have his remaining 14 teeth removed. His mouth was completely rotted and he is feeling so much better now. He eats just fine without his teeth. He also had a fatty lump removed from under his left arm.
Archie seems to have a sensitive digestive system and he has some crystals in his urine. He is eating Hill’s ID kibble (for digestion) with CD kibble (for the crystals) mixed in plus some kind of wet food. He can be a little fussy so I keep switching up the wet food. He will need to continue with the CD food for a few months until he clears the crystals and he will likely need the ID food for life to keep him regular.
