Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Bessie is estimated to be about two years old and weighs approx 33 pounds. We've had some fun guesses at her breed and we think she looks like a low-rider Airdale.... perhaps mixed with basset or corgi, something with shorter legs than an Airdale, even wire haired fox terrier in her mix. That said, she is just beautiful -- stunning eyes that truly melt you (eyeliner so perfect all the girls are jealous!). Her coat is slightly curly and mostly wiry like a terrier except the little puff on her head which is soft and fluffy. It's her little dash of pizzazz :) Bessie is kind to other dogs but prefers smaller dogs to be in her company. She's intimidated by larger dogs or dogs with aggressive playful energy. She would like to have one smaller dog as her sibling... she loves dogs and loves to do zoomies with them in her yard. As for people, this girl will sit and gaze into your eyes and you can just see she's had a broken heart and so wants to be loved. She's probably one of the most kind, respectful, and mild dogs you could meet. Sweet and gentle. We never want her heart to be broken ever again. We never want her to be lonely. This loving young lady is housebroken, very nicely mannered, and belly rubs top her list of favorites. She listens to instruction and is willing and able to learn the rules of her new home. Because of her mild nature, any children in her new family should be at least 10 years old and of a very kind and respectful nature. Bessie wants a home with gentle fun and unconditional love. She is a happy girl once settled in and deserves a home with a yard (grass, of course) where she can have her own free space with her family (she is not a candidate for apartment or condo living. Bessie's adoption fee covers her health check-up, spay, vaccinations, and microchip. She'll also go home with her own collar and ID tag, harness and leash, and a life of love to give. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application -- please email to request one.
