My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sawyer is a young, 7 yr old, neutered male in need of a forever home! Don't let his age fool you!  Sawyer loves to play! His favorite things are to chase a ball or play tug of war, playing with his Jolly ball, snoozing in the sun, cuddling up with his person on a couch or just chilling and laying in the sun, relaxing! Sawyer is always up for play but does best when meeting new humans while on his leash for comfort and reassurance. Sawyer loves children but does not realize his size so no small kids for him as he tends to knock them over. While Sawyer has been through obedience 1 & 2, as well as some trick classes, he does still require some leash manners as he grew up as a country dog and was allowed to roam the yard with an invisible fence with minimal walks. Sawyer is good with dogs but please keep kitties and small animals away. Food you say???  Sawyer loves whole raw carrots, whole stalks of celery and of course cheese! When he was just a pup, he chipped a bone in his knee and required surgery all from playing too hard; hence, no small kids. That surgery didn't stop him at all and still doesn't! Sawyer has a big bark that he loves to use to protect his family from the God-Almighty Amazon truck and the occasional stray cat! He is microchipped, crate and house trained and comes when you whistle!
