Here's what the humans have to say about me:
London is a fun-loving guy who looks like a Lab mix and his estimated DOB is 2/6/2018. On 10/11/2024 he weighed about 54 pounds. London was brought to us as a 6-week-old baby puppy, when he was found all alone outside a store with something wrong with both back legs. It turns out that sweet London has congenital deformities in both of his back legs. Femurs are the wrong length and bones are bowed. Though it does affect the way that he walks and runs, it doesn't seem to cause him pain, and it certainly hasn't dampened his spirit. He still likes to run and bounce around a bit, and he can be downright affectionate! He loves a good tummy rub and would love some lap time. London is a very sweet, good boy who has been here way, way...way too long. Since he was just a few weeks old. Since early 2018. He needs that special someone who doesn't see crooked legs, just London's beautiful soul. It can take him a while to warm up to some and it can be instant with others. If London does choose you, you will be so grateful! You will have a fun and playful, loyal and loving friend for life.
This wonderful boy so deserves a loving home. Come in today and see for yourself how beautiful London is.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
