Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

A message from Allison:
I am a 4-year-old, 45 lb. female
My paperwork says I am a Hound mix
Dogs: I like other dogs a lot
Cats: I met a cat at the shelter that I came from down south. I wasn't phased by him. I can be tested again here at Lighthouse if you have cats and want to take me home.
Allison is a wiggly, happy girl. She is a beauty queen with a sweet and goofy personality. Allison is outgoing with people and likes to take a moment to soak up attention from the volunteers.
Allison is a playful pup who loves to be out in the yard with toys. She can entertain herself for awhile with a tennis ball or a rope toy!
She just recently made a new dog friend who she hit it off with right away. They were instant pals. Check out her video to see how well she played with him!
She would appreciate a family who will keep her active and provide her with regular play time. She'd probably be a great buddy for hiking and exploring new places together.
Allison doesn't seem to know commands quite yet but when taking her glamour shots, she did eventually sit for a few of them! She is food motivated.
In her crate, she is a barker but she promises that she is working on that. She doesn't have accidents in her crate.

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.
Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
